NHS Brooklyn receives grant from Investors Foundation for financial literacy program.
NHS Brooklyn recently received a $2,500 grant from Investors Foundation at their East Flatbush office. The grant will help further NHS Brooklyn’s mission of educating their clients about how to manage their money so that they can plan, pursue life goals, and overcome financial setbacks that may arise.
“Financial literacy is a necessary component of all our services,” says Tonya Ores, Executive Director of NHS Brooklyn. “Whether a client comes to us for first-time home buying, home repair funding assistance, tenant counseling, insurance workshops, or foreclosure intervention, they benefit from learning about budgeting, credit, and managing debt. The Investors Foundation grant will help support these efforts.”
